NWS forecasts may be just a starting point
FROM TODAY'S PRINT EDITIONS:
Dotti Fielder, in Catonsville, asks: “Why is it that forecasts on TV, The Baltimore Sun,
online, etc. at any given time or day give different highs/lows, percent of precipitation expected. Don’t all forecasters get the same data from the National Weather Service?”
Well, everybody may consider NWS data. But those data can change from hour to hour. And, individual forecasters, and weather data vendors like AccuWeather, can (and do) interpret, adjust and spin as they see fit.
