Second snowshoe fell a year ago today
FROM TODAY'S PRINT EDITIONS:
The second of Baltimore’s back-to-back February blizzards began a year ago today. We were barely three days past the final flakes from the previous storm, and still digging, when the new one arrived. By the end of the following day, another 19.5 inches had fallen at BWI-Marshall Airport.
If you accept the measurements, it ranks as the city’s eighth-biggest two-day storm, and the ninth-ranking storm overall. The 15.5 inches that fell on the 10th was the ninth-deepest one-day fall since daily snow records began here in 1892.

It's nice to reminisce about the good old days, but last year at this time things were pretty bad. Snow on the ground was over 40 inches (at least here in EC), snow on the roof was scary deep, and arctic temps were setting in. It was the worst winter in my 50 years alive (narrowly edging the ice-Hell of 1994). I cannot find the words to adequately express how much I hated last winter. But thanks for the reminder, Frank ;).

I know I'm in the minority, but I really enjoyed the blizzard(s) last year. Then again, I was very lucky--didn't lose power, had no small children to keep occupied, had plenty of food, and no reason to have to leave the house or dig out the car (work was closed). So I was able to enjoy being forced to do...nothing.

Loved last years blizzards - even though we lost all our gutters! It was an historic event - we had about 50 inches of snow in our yard from the two storms...
